A new national survey commissioned by Best Friends Animal Society reveals that 84 percent of those polled believe that local, state or federal governments should not infringe on a person’s right to own whatever breed of dog they choose.
This survey*, conducted by Luntz Global, is consistent with a growing trend by many state and local governments that have repealed breed discriminatory provisions and enacted behavior-based, breed-neutral dangerous dog laws. Of the 850 polled, 59 percent were dog owners. Only four percent of those polled believed the federal government should dictate what breed of dog a person could own, while six percent supported state government restrictions and 11 percent local government limits.
Supporting the survey is the fact that 17 states have passed laws that prohibit cities and counties from banning or restricting dogs because of breed. Even the American Bar Association passed a Resolution 100 in August, 2012 calling for all political subdivisions to repeal breed discriminatory provisions.

  1. and yet the foamers consistently say they're the majority, which is clearly not the case,, a quick summary is they havea dozen or so fb hate pages , some blogs and a couple of websites, there's about 20 individuals seeming like thousands which still isn't enough obviously because their lack of numbers and the hard cold fact that they're trying to sell one of the biggest lies in the history of mankind. And look at their hero a deranged medicated lying nut case!! couple with a hillbilly no neck scientist wanna be!! that looks intelligent and quickly exposes he's not when he speaks!! you got to laugh!! well i do!! lol!

  2. so the dog fraternity and the legal fraternity do not support BSL and the people definitely don't support it, so it's just the foamers then and they're a grotty minority?

  3. so the public doesn't want bsl either, so all the reputable dog associations don't support Bsl and the American Bar Association urges gov not to use it,, so that leaves the foamers as the only ones wanting BSL , but that's more to do with killing pitbulls then community safety?
